It is a funny story about a small rabbit Krosh and his friends.
Once upon a time rabbits decided to fit out a ship to go to America, a plentiful continent with lots of food and no enemies. Krosh was mad about the sea trip, but he was too young to become a sailor. He sneaked up on board and later was lucky to become a ship's boy. Captain Turtle never pitied his decision to make the smart rabbit a member of the crew. When the peaceful rabbits' boat was attacked by pirates, it was an ingenious Krosh and his cheerful friend, the parrot, who helped the captain to defeat the sea-dogs.
After many adventures the rabbits reached the shore. It wasn't America. Instead they discovered Australia which turned out a real rabbits' paradise.

It's a book of funny stories about a toy-car by the name of Bip. In summer his owner, a small boy, went to the country and took his toy with him. Bip was happy to play in the garden. He got acquainted with toads from the nearby pond, cooperative and considerate mice family, local doctor - woodpecker, hedgehogs, who lived under the shed, and diligent piglets. They had many adventures together and Bip found out that even a toy-car can be a real friend.

The hedgehog opens a tailoring shop. The fox, a notorious swindler, starts a supermarket. The rabbit tries to turn the wolf into a vegetarian. The hare is sure that he has a gift for hypnosis. The wolf dreams to become rich and one day on the lizard's advice goes to the fair to sell his tail. There are many other amusing stories. The inhabitants of the magic wood more often than not get into ridiculous situations which turn out to be rather edifying. Some literary critics fairly consider Tales of Magic Wood fables in prose.

It's a bed-time story about a toy-train, who didn't like to go to sleep. But one day the house cat, a notorious lie-abed, let him into a great secret. 'Every time you close your eyes, lie quietly and dream of something pleasant you get to Dreamland,' he said. When the night came the toy-train did just as the cat had advised. As if from nowhere the moon and stars appeared on the bedroom ceiling. The toy railway station came alive. The train saw a watch dog in a uniform and a kitten. It turned out that the kitten had got lost. The toy-train offered to help the kid to find his mummy and set off for a marvelous adventure.
On the way he meets new friends: a crow, a hare, a beaver and a donkey. Every time he gets into predicament, his friends help him out of trouble. The trip was very useful. The toy-train got to know that obstinacy has nothing to do with persistence. He learnt that everyone had a gift for something and his friends helped him to discover his own talent.
In the morning the train wanted to tell the boy-master about his adventures, but the only thing he could say was 'to-tooo', because toys cannot speak. But since that time the train has remembered the great secret: if you close your eyes and lie in bed quietly soon you get to a magic country called Dreamland.

There was a boat ship that lived in a sea-shore town but had never saw seen the sea. She stood in the window of a toy-shop and dreamed about a voyage. One day a boy and his mother came into the shop and took bought the boat with him little toy-ship.
The boat ship was quite happy to float in the inflatable rubber pool. She was sure that it was the sea until a seagull told her otherwise. The toy-boat ship was upset very much disappointed. She was so eager to see the real sea. It happened that the boy was also willing to try his new toy in the open, so he went to the beach without his parents' permission.
The little boat ship set off for her first sea trip. All the children admired the beautiful boat. The boy was very proud until the sales caught the wind and the waves carried the toy along to the open sea leaving the crying boy on the shore.
The voyage was long and very interesting. The boat ship had many adventures. She got acquainted with deep-water inhabitants of the depth - different cheerful fish and even clever sharks. But even the longest day comes to an end. In the evening the boat toy-ship wanted to come back home, but she lost her way. There was nothing but sea all around. Soon the battery lost its charge and the poor boat ship stopped lifeless. She was very sad and lonely when the dolphins found her. They were eager to help if but they new didn't know where to take the lost boat. Fortunately they met the seagull who showed them the way.
Thus the naughty boat ship returned to the boy who was still crying waiting for his toy on the beach. They were both happy to meet see each other again. Since that time the boy knew has remembered how bad it is to leave home without permission not letting his parents know. And the boat learned that however no matter how interesting it is to a voyage might be, it is always nice important to have a refuge to return back home you can always moor to.

This amazing story happened in Africa. Believe it or not but once a porcupine found a dinosaur's egg in his burrow. No one knew how it had gotten there. The porcupine mistook it for a stone. He used to sleep near it warming keeping it warm with his back body. One day much to his surprise he hatched an unknown creature hatched out. The old bachelor was at a loss. He knew nothing about children and could not bring up a baby. He constantly hushed quieted the kid saying 'hush-hush'. That is why the strange kid decided that his name was Hush-Hush. The porcupine longed for his quiet tranquil life so one day he lost his temper and suggested that God-knows- whose-baby should find his real mother. So the little dinosaur set off in search of his mother.
He met a baby lion on his way. His new friend decided that Hush-Hush must be a bird because he hadn't been born but hatched. The problem was that he was too big for a bird and couldn't fly. Fortunately the lion cub learned from his mother that there lived just the right type of birds, ostriches. Hush- Hush hurried to ostriches but the big birds refused to take him for a nestling. One glance was enough for them to understand: whoever he was, Hush-Hush was not a bird.
The little dinosaur was very upset but he was lucky to meet two jerboas. They advised him to look for his mother among crocodiles. His first and the only visit to a crocodile could have ended very sadly. Luckily Hush-Hush was quick enough to escape the sharp teeth of the crocodile.
To add to this From the crocodile he learned that turtles lay eggs but don't hatch their babies. They just leave eggs in the sand. Hush-Hush was pretty sure that he was on the right way. He went in search of a turtle but it did him no good. He failed to find his mother again. The turtle felt sorry for the kid. She was so old and wise that she had a guess where he could find his relatives. The turtle invited Hush-Hush to mount her back and took him to South America. There Hush-Hush found his close relatives, the lizards, descendants of ancient dinosaurs.
From this funny tale young readers learn about the habits of some animals from of jungles and savannas.
